OK, this has gotten well under my skin and I’m sure it’s getting under may others skin as well. I’m talking about Haiti. I am über tired of hearing text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10.00 by adding it to your monthly cell phone bill or seeing someone famous pitch the Haiti practice because it’s the in thing. Hell, here’s how important it is, the presidents’ wife (not really my president but we’ll talk about that later I’m sure) couldn’t even remember a 15 second speech about the pain and suffering going on in this earthquake torn country. Even my dogs would be able to remember a 15 second spot.

Then to top it all off, we’re driving down the road and what do we see, eight fools standing in the median of the intersections holding these ghetto ass scribbled signs saying help Haiti. Regardless of who they “represent” do they have to be so shady looking and downright deceiving on a sorry situation? The Red Cross wants everyone to pitch in and help this God forsaken hell hole of a country. It all seems to be a bunch of bullcrap. A situation that we are all to willing to capitalize on for the sake of money. How many people are on street corners that are actually collecting money with any legitimacy? Why make people donate $10.00 via a cell phone bill. Why can’t they choose to donate an amount that is more convenient to them in one dollar increments? Here’s a stretch, why don’t we take care of our own damn country and citizens first?

That’s right I said it. The US is so damn quick to become the worlds police force that it’s failing to take care of its own. We are so far into debt because our so called president was thinking that bailing out the banks and car companies would make our economy better. Seriously, was that a legitimate thought from his administration? How does that make things better? Oh yeah, it lines his pockets in the end. Don’t you think that if you bail out the actual PEOPLE of the US by relieving the RIDICULOUS interest rates that credit card companies and banks are charging would have made a huge difference? Help with the predatory lenders in the housing market and maybe making the interest rates have a cap would have kept AMERICANS in their homes? Of course not, this ‘bama ass president has his house all kept and tidy for the next four years (and hopefully only four years) and then gets to go and live it up wherever the hell he likes afterwards becoming Jets and Ebony magazines’ ambassador. If he would have given the Americans a bailout, they would have dumped the money into buying cool things and paying bills which would have bailed out the banks and car companies and everyone else that the government is so interested in giving handouts to as well as stimulate the economy. I think this is the definition of a retard. He’s making sure that every other country is happy at this point. Sending relief to everyone who asks without consequence and giving none of it back to the people that put his ass there in power.

Now this country of Haiti has an earthquake roll through it and the aluminum shakes all fell down. Concrete buildings fell as if anything less should have been expected considering it was not reenforced with anything, just a thin slab of concrete and plaster for esthetics. A good car stereo system could have knocked down a few houses on its own. Do I feel bad for the people, yeah, kind of. Do I think that we should be asking Americans to jump on this help the people of Haiti bandwagon? HELL NO!!! These people are beyond help. Their island is ruined and they need to rebuild PERIOD. The key to that phrase people was THEY need to rebuild. They have a ridiculous amount of drug problems and crime. It’s a modern day western over there where vigilantism is common practice and gangs actually run the joint.

KATZ of the Associated Press wrote on Mon Jan 18, 8:04 pm ET: PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – “If you don’t kill the criminals, they will all come back,” a Haitian police officer shouts over a loudspeaker in the country’s most notorious slum, imploring citizens to take justice into their own hands.
The call for vigilantes comes as influential gang leaders who escaped from a heavily damaged prison during the country’s killer earthquake are taking advantage of a void left by police and peacekeepers focused on disaster relief.

Now, the police are telling people to kill. It really is as simple as that. No need to expand upon what he means or was trying to say, it’s pretty clear; KILL THE CRIMINALS.

He then went on to write: “Neighborhood residents say three people died and several women were raped in a small-scale turf war that gangsters nicknamed “Belony” and “Bled” launched in the seaside slum in the days following last Tuesday’s quake.”

Does this sound like a place we want to salvage? Why? We have that here too. We also have homeless veterans that are really trying to make it on what a small amount of retirement pay that they get. This is not nearly enough to live in todays economy but it’s all they get. While some really make every attempt to get another job, not many are offered to the older and ailing people in the interview pool. Why doesn’t the government help them out? If anyone deserves it it’s the people who fought for our country so that we CAN choose to give money to the poor ignorant countries that are only going to survive while the US is there. Once we leave, they go to crap again and what, our stupidity for thinking that they would be smart enough and capable enough to straighten their country out. The criminals aren’t in sight right now and won’t be until the US is gone. This makes perfect sense too, why fight a tiger when the kitten will be left alone later. How about the hard working Americans that have work for 18 years for a company but because the economy sucks now, they’ve been laid off because they were the highest paid. Wow, makes me wonder how so many haven’t just gone postal and wiped out the executives of the companies that they worked for. I mean, the executives are still there and getting PAID. What about people who are loosing their homes because the ARM loan that they had just killed them or they just can’t pay for their mortgage anymore because they lost their job. They have children and family that are going to end up on the street because not everyone has a place to go. What’s to happen to them? Just tough crap, something will come your way? Screw that, it’s high time that we stop and look at our own front and backyard! It’s time that we stop helping out every other damn country and fend for ourselves. What would happen if we stopped giving aid to other remote, desolate, third world countries? Nothing different would happen to us here. These countries have NO benefit to the US. They don’t provide us with money to reduce our debt, they don’t provide us with essential food to survive on. What do they do, nothing, they are leeches. Parasites that feed on the blood of our country at the cost of our own peoples lives and wellbeing.

We need to seriously modify our thinking about foreign policy. If others aren’t really taking the policing the world seriously, then why should we. Let’s secure our borders, ensure our country’s safety and the safety of the people. Let’s work on getting the homeless into homes and the hungry some food. Let’s stop sending all the work overseas to people that can speak crappy english and understand none. How many people have lost their jobs due to outsourcing? TOO DAMN MANY! Bring it all back, the tech support, customer support, production, hell, even the telemarketing people. Bring these jobs back to the US for the US people to get. Let’s make sure that our veterans, disabled and not so disabled but not the “oh I was in Iraq in the rear with the gear for six months and got a ribbon veterans, the reals ones that have seen what war/conflict is and have had the far reaches of their mental stabilities tested. The real vets that fought so hard without question because they were told that it was what they needed to do and not just because it was a legal way to go kill someone. None of these 20 year olds that come back saying, “I have PTSD because I saw a bomb go off and I think a splatter of blood hit me and the balls that I thought I had were not actually there.” type of guys. There are just asses that are putting a bad name towards what a real veteran is.

It’s time that we start taking care of us, the people that live here in the US. The people that buy food, shop at local retailers, buy things that were made in the USA because of that reason alone. The ones that love their country and put their hand over their heart when they hear the national anthem or say the pledge of allegiance. The people that truly believe that these colors don’t run. I think that we’ve proven this statement time and time again. WE RUN FROM NOTHING but try to fix everything at the expense of ourselves. DAMN THAT!

Kill the pirates that try to take over the ships, it’s a lifestyle that they chose anyhow, screw the RED project, if the people in Africa actually gave a crap they’d be doing more to help reduce the spread of AIDS that what they are or have been doing, screw suppling countries with our tactical know-how and weapons to help defend themselves, it they want to commit genocide then so be it, it’s not like they aren’t going to try and do it even after we supply them and teach them because they’ll just either overthrow the government in power now or steal the crap that we supplied to just use it against the people we supplied it to, not to mention that it WILL come back and bite us in the ass, eh hmmm, Afghanistan anyone? If Israelis and Palestine’s want to go head to head over a piece of land then so be it, have at it because when you all are dead, we’ll go talk to the kats that put up the real estate for sale sign up and get it for a damn good deal. If a country wants to run itself without the help of the US, GOOD! Let them, when they fail, if they fail, they can come back whining and we can tell them to go to hell. They didn’t want us then, we don’t want them now. We have better ways to spend our money; like on ourselves. If a country wants to really threaten our countries safety, we need to take preemptive measures and apologize later. Our self preservation should take precedence. Evac our people and take ’em out! It’s easier to sort AFTER the dust settles.

Am I cold hearted, maybe. Do I care about the people in Haiti, I feel bad. I don’t know what I would do if I survived. Do I want to help them, yes and no! I would help as far as… nope, I don’t! I don’t want to ever have the pleasure to EVER have to see Haiti or it’s inhabitants unless a true 180 degree change has been made and it turns into one hell of a happening tourist spot which I don’t see happening in the next fifty to hundred years. I wish them well and hope that they learn to build accordingly. I do hope that they can reduce the crime and learn to be a self sufficient country. Only then will they know how to survive. Getting handouts because an ACT OF GOD happened doesn’t teach anyone anything about survivability. It only enforces a dependent nature and that my friend is BULLCRAP!!!
